25mm Dual-Tinted Polycarbonate Sheets
Bronze/Opal or Heatguard/Opal tints.
Stops room getting too hot - even on long saummer days!
Choose from two popular dual-tinted polycarbonates - Bronze/Opal and Heatguard/Opal. The combination of Bronze to the outside face and Opal inside, offers privacy with soft light and reduces heat build-up and minimises glare. While the dual-tinted Heatguard/Opal allows light in, but deflects solar radiation to reduce heat build-up by as much as 50% compared with Clear! Heatguard/Opal is a good option for South-facing conservatories.
With upto 200 times impact strength of glass, polycarbonate sheets, offer are a safe, long-lasting roofing choice and a great option for conservatory roofs, canopies, atriums, industrial rooflighting and many more applications.
These 25mm sheets are great insulators that reduce condensation and can diffuse light. This multi-wall polycarbonate wont let you down when consideration energy conservation too - it can be more energy efficient and upto 50% cheaper than glass of a comparable thickness!

Let Truly do the preparation for you - for polycarbonate to work effecitvely and have a long life, it's vital that any bits of dust and plastic are blown from the flutes once cut. Not only do we cut to size for you, we then ensure that the flutes are clear and the ends are taped. We save you time and money! Choosing Polycarbonate
Beyond simply appearance, there are other considerations when choosing the best polycarbonate for your application. The Colour Tint, Thickness and Sheet Size are key factors explained below.
Polycarbonate Colour Tint
- Bronze/OpalSoft cool light

This dual-tinted combination of the two most popular tints offer privacy and soft light while also reducing heat build up and minimising glare. Opal internally and Bronze to the outside to blend with roof finishings.
- Heat-guard/OpalNo excessive heat

Allows light in, but deflects solar radiation to reduce heat build up by as much as 50% compared with Clear. Dual-tinted Opal inside for attractive white finish with soft light quality. Double-sided UV protection and IR Heat Block.
Polycarbonate Sheet Thickness
If replacing individual sheets then you may wish to purchase the same thickness as the others. Alternatively, when whole roofs are being replaced, it may be an opportunity to upgrade to thicker sheeting for greater thermal efficiency and sound-proofing. But be sure that the increased thickness is compatible with your roofing system.

Polycarbonate Sheet Size
These sheets are available in various widths and lengths to save time preparing the sheets, save money and minimise wastage. Please note that due to the thermal expansion of fitted sheets, a little space should be available on the ridge and glazing bar sides (see our Polycarbonate Advice Sheet for more information). Product Comparison - Thermal Efficiency
The thermal efficiency of glazing material is described using terms such as 'U-value' and 'Solar Heat Gain'. These measurements provide a means of comparing one material against another and the following table illustrates the performance of these polycarbonate sheets.
