How the Convection Heater works

Electric convection heaters, like this Ambientair model, contain a heating element through which an electric current is passed. The resistance encountered by the electrcity results in the heating element becoming hot. Air convection currents circulate through the heater and across the heating element. As the air warms it increases in volume, becomes buoyant and rises.

Don't forget that because of the natural ventilation, convection heaters are quieter in operation than fan heaters!
