Need a sprung or un-sprung handle?
Some handles incorporate a spring, which returns the handle to its normal horizontal position when not in use. Others, like this HOPPE Atlanta, are un-sprung and rely on a spring within the door lock mechanism.
You can check whether you need a sprung or un-sprung lever by removing the existing handle and operating it. If the handle returned to position when fitted to the door but does not return to position when detached then you require an un-sprung handle like this.
Do you need a new euro cylinder lock?
If you're replacing handles that have a different Back Plate Depth then it may be advisable to replace the cylinder lock also. Cylinders may project outside of the Back Plate but by no more than 5mm (see below). We supply a range of quality euro cylinders at highly competitive prices.
